[R] Challenge: air quality, the latest digital challenge in Grand Lyon

Would you like to try out an innovative digital solution to improve air quality in cities? Wait no longer and submit your application before March 15, 2018 to take part in the [R] Challenge, so you can receive support from experts and access resources for your experiments in the Lyon metropolitan area.

What is the aim of the [R] Challenge?

The challenge aims to support digital projects that offer a truly innovative approach to issues related to air quality. Through a scheme involving a call for projects, prototypes and experiments, the [R] Challenge supports the creation of innovative solutions.

Thanks to this action and stakeholders working together from the industrial, health, urban planning, transport, environmental, energy and digital sectors, the challenge aims to create effective environmental and societal solutions for the future.

What are the key stages?

The [R] Challenge can be broken down into several phases related to key innovation issues. The first stage involves launching the call for projects. Successful applicants will receive support to develop their projects, create prototypes and test their projects locally.

  • January 2018: Call for projects for digital solutions addressing regional issues;
  • April 2018: Preliminary selection panel – Shortlisting of projects with high value potential;
  • May 2018: Project acceleration sprint – A program condensed into three days of co-development with expert mentors;
  • June 2018: Selection panel – Final selection process for the projects to be prototyped and tested;
  • June/July 2018: Launch of the prototype and testing phase – Support for projects.
