The PULSALYS SATT Launches the “Young Doctors” Program

On The December 4, 2018

To further its aim of promoting research and the transfer of knowledge to civil society, PULSALYS, the Technology Transfer Acceleration Company (SATT) in Lyon and Saint-Étienne, is launching a new program targeting local young PhDs. This program will provide them with an opportunity to further develop the results from their dissertation for a year, while receiving funding and personalized support.

It aims to help young doctors promote the results they found while writing their dissertation, and support them in transferring these findings to an existing company or in creating a start-up.

This new program has three phases:

  • The DoctyBoot: this customized program was designed by PULSALYS and Beelys, the Université de Lyon’s student incubator, in order to develop the first working hypotheses from the project and demonstrate skills: defining the value, the market need, building a prototype, proof of concept... At the end of the program, a jury will select the best projects.
  • A project maturation program supported by PULSALYS. The best projects that meet PULSALYS’ investment criteria (royalty-free dissertation results, sufficiently mature technology, etc.) will be selected and will be given the opportunity to create intellectual property, receive maturation funding from PULSALYS and personalized support from a project-building team.
  • Launch of project funding for winners of the young doctors program.
