The Foundation for the Université de Lyon is organizing the eleventh Economy Days on November 6, 7 and 8, in collaboration with the ENS de Lyon.
In the current climate of uncertainty about our collective future, it is crucial to hold conversations about the sources of tensions as they become clearer and to explore possible strategies to overcome them. Participate in the economics lectures, debates and discussions which will be held over a three-day period. Over sixty issues will be discussed, so each participant is sure to find topics of particular interest.
This event is entirely free and accessible to all. Registration is mandatory.
Vernon Smith, honorary doctorate of the Université de Lyon
Vernon Smith, winner of the Nobel prize in Economic Sciences in 2002 and professor at Chapman University, will be awarded an honorary doctorate by the Université de Lyon on November 7, 2018 during the Economy Days. He will hold a lecture at the GATE at this occasion, titled: “Learning from failed experiments: three cases”
Panel discussion and debate evening on the topic: "The news urban entrepreneurs"
The Lyon Urban School is organizing an evening of debates on November 7, 2018 on the theme of "The new urban entrepreneurs" during the Economy Days, in partnership with the Taverne Gutenberg, Intermède, Les ateliers La Mouche and Arty-Farty.
This evening will explore the urban changes that are bringing about new professions, experimental training programs and innovative economic models. Come to the Halles du Faubourg (7th district of Lyon) to discuss the collaborative, alternative, inclusive, participatory, temporary and interim projects that are changing the current and future urban environment.
