Centre Jacques Cartier

The Université de Lyon (UdL) is a long-standing stakeholder in the Centre Jacques Cartier (CJC) and is deeply involved in the development of its initiatives.

Each year, the Université de Lyon participates in the Entretiens Jacques Cartier (Jacques Cartier meetings), which are internationally renowned events organized alternately in France (primarily in Lyon) and Canada (primarily in Montréal) by the CJC.

The Université de Lyon's participation in the Jacques Cartier meetings have helped it expand its international strategy through meetings and discussions between university stakeholders. It also enables the university to develop Franco-Canadian projects as part of the International Alliance, particularly those based on IDEX's strategic guidelines, and get socio-economic and regional stakeholders involved in the projects.

The Jacques Cartier meetings are both a platform for strengthening and giving momentum to Franco-Canadian cooperation, and a showcase to promote them in civil society.
