Launch of the Science Shop exhibition at the Université de Lyon

From February 15, 2018 to March 1, 2018

For the launch of the 2018 Science Shop work placements, a Science Shop exhibition will take place at the Université de Lyon from February 15 to March 1, in the hall at 90 Rue Pasteur Lyon 7e.

The exhibition

The exhibition is an opportunity to discover three placements from 2017 through photos of the work and short films. Each project explores a different topic: Biohealth and Society, Humanities and Urbanity, and Science and Engineering.

Organizations, students and researchers are invited to visit the exhibition and get involved in the Science Shop scheme via the forms available at the exhibition.

What is a Science Shop placement?

The Science Shop chooses a student in the second year of a Master's degree to carry out research in close collaboration with the applicant organization on the ground The study is usually structured as follows over 4 to 6 months:

  • A literature review of the subject;
  • An agreement with a research lecturer focusing on a scientific methodology which is adapted to gather the data required to analyze the topic;
  • A plain-language summary based on an academic essay.
