Call for participation in the 2019 Pop'Sciences festival
From December 6, 2018 to January 31, 2019
The Pop’Sciences festival is coming back in 2019. It gives researchers, PhD students, engineers, laboratory technicians, facilitators, mediators, and Pop’Sciences contributors an opportunity to present their research, test a scientific mediation, see how their fellow citizens understand their work and communicate their passion for science to a wider, more diverse audience directly in a local neighborhood.
The Pop’Sciences Festival is named after the Pop’Sciences web portal, which promotes events related to scientific culture held by the Université de Lyon and its institutions. The event is held every other year at the heart of the city – in a neighborhood, on a busy street – and aims to spread knowledge by offering opportunities for the world of research to meet local inhabitants in ways that promote discussion: lectures, workshops, quizzes, panel discussions, world-cafés, coffee-house debates, exhibitions, etc.
