Call for applications – InSPIRES spring school – Science shops: strengthening the relationships between research and society

From November 28, 2018 to January 25, 2019

The Institut Pasteur in Tunis and the Université de Lyon, as partners of the *H2020 InSPIRES project consortium, are organizing a spring school for the science shops on April 22 and 23, 2019.

This spring school aims to build and strengthen the relationships between research and civil society (represented by organizations, associations and local authorities addressing social issues). It also provides a training, exchange and networking platform with experts in participatory research, in order to develop new science shops and similar programs.

This training program is built around the idea of participatory research, and aims to explore how to produce knowledge that is useful for society and can lead to significant social change. The InSPIRES spring school will be held in Tunis and aims to propel the Science Shop program on the African continent as well as in French-speaking countries around the world. This school is designed for a French-speaking audience.

The main events of this spring school will be plenary conferences, small group practical workshops, field visits, group simulations, discussions and networking events with a fun approach.

► Registration is open until January 25, 2019, included.
