Random draw to nominate the representatives for the Université de Lyon's governing board

A random draw will be held to fill four seats on the Université de Lyon’s governing board, three of which are for category 5 and the other for category 6.
In its ruling of July 12, 2018, the Administrative Court of Appeal of Lyon (CAA) canceled the elections of June 4, 2015, which designated representatives of category 5 (other personnel) within the COMUE’s governing board. Category 5 includes 4 seats. One of these seats that became vacant was filled in a partial election held in September 2017. This is why only 3 seats were canceled by the CAA’s ruling.
Additionally, due to the renewal of elected representatives of the member institutions, one category 6 (users) seat of the COMUE governing board is also vacant.
Pursuant to Article L. 719-8 of the French Code of Education, and for the purposes of the continued operations of the COMUE, the Academy of Lyon’s Board of Education, along with the Minister for Higher Education and Research, is organizing a public random draw on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 3 PM, in the Board of Education’s Council Room (92, rue de Marseille, 7th district of Lyon).
