The Université de Lyon is launching an eco-friendly action campaign

On The April 3, 2018

As part of Sustainable Development Student Week, the Université de Lyon is launching an awareness campaign on eco-friendly actions. This campaign is the result of collaborative work between representatives of the energy and ecological transition, the institutions' communication departments and the Université de Lyon's project team.

With 160,000 users, the Lyon Saint-Étienne university site could have a significant impact on reducing the site's energy costs if provided with support for environmentally-friendly action.

A jointly developed campaign

The eco-friendly action campaign, jointly developed with the institutions, aims to involve the site's users – students, researchers, research professors and staff – and to raise their awareness of the importance of "small actions". It aims to familiarize its various target audiences with the environmental issues and change their behavior in several areas.

Twelve institutions of the Université de Lyon are currently rolling out this first communication campaign on the themes of energy and water.

The first eco-friendly actions

The themes chosen for the first campaign are energy and water. The campaign highlights three eco-friendly actions, which it demonstrates with real-life situations, to inform users and encourage them to adopt good practice:

  1. Leaks;
  2. Dual flushes;
  3. Switching off lights.

This campaign is being conducted as part of the site's Energy and Ecological Transition (TEE) strategy developed by the member institutions of the Université de Lyon.
