The Université de Lyon renews its framework agreement with Tongji University

Meeting and signature ceremony with Tongji University

The Université de Lyon hosted a delegation of five representatives from Tongji University for an afternoon, which began with a meeting attended by Khaled Bouabdallah, President of the Université de Lyon, and the Presidents and Vice-Presidents of the Université de Lyon’s member institutions.

The agenda for the meeting was to review the five first years of the collaboration between the Université de Lyon and Tongji University, to present the academic and scientific development plans of each university and discuss future projects to pursue together. This meeting was an opportunity for the French and Chinese university representatives to reaffirm their desire for a closer collaboration in the near future.

Later in the afternoon, a signature ceremony was held to renew the framework agreement between the Université de Lyon and Tongji University for five more years.

► “Tongji, Excellent Engineers in France” program with about twenty students visiting the Lyon Saint-Étienne site each year;

► Double diploma programs in civil engineering in partnership with the INSA Lyon;

► “SME Internationalization” Research Chair in partnership with the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3;

► Cooperation on water treatment (drinking water and industrial water) in the MATEIS lab (INSA Lyon, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, CNRS);

► Articles published by the Biology and Cell Models Laboratory, the Geology Laboratory and the Université de Tongji.
