The MANUTECH-SLEIGHT Graduate School of Research (EUR) is organizing its First Graduate Session
From January 7, 2019 to January 11, 2019
The MANUTECH-SLEIGHT (light-surface engineering, health and society) Graduate School of Research's First Graduate Session will be held from January 7 through 11, 2019, in Saint-Étienne, at the Université Jean Monnet's (UJM) Manufacture Campus.
The MANUTECH-SLEIGHT EUR has been coordinated by the Université de Lyon since September 2018 as part of the IDEXLYON project, and its management has been delegated to the UJM. Its ambition is to become a world-class institution in the field of Light-Surface Engineering.
The MANUTECH-SLEIGHT EUR’s Graduate Sessions are held twice a year and are the “bedrock” of the EUR. The primary aim of this event is to provide a space for scientists and students to meet, as well as to discuss and share new projects.
The goal for the first event is to foster discussion and learning between the stakeholders of EUR, which started in 2018. This is why the themes for this event cover every aspect of the SLEIGHT field.
This rich program includes two special workshops:
A cross-disciplinary workshop led by Laurence Vico, Director of the SAINBIOSE laboratory (INSERM, UJM, Mines Saint-Etienne): On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at 2 PM;
A “pitching” workshop, during which Master’s students will present their research results: On Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.
The first Graduate Session is co-funded by the Investments for the Future Program (PIA), the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region and the Saint-Étienne Métropole.
