Pop'Sciences Forum: the Université de Lyon takes a step back and looks at Artificial Intelligence
From April 23, 2018 to May 10, 2018
By organizing its first Pop'Sciences Forum, the Université de Lyon aims to bring together researchers, the public, artists, associations and companies, so they can learn and reflect together about the reality of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our society. The program, which will last more than two weeks, includes lectures, screenings, debates, workshops and meet-ups on the topics of work, health, ethics, feminism and democracy.
AI is everyone's business!
From April 23 to May 10, the Pop'Sciences Forum will be offering the chance to start discussion and discover, anticipate and reflect on the positive impacts that the development of AI could have on our health, data processing, democracy and socio-economic models.
The Forum is organizing thematic meetings on the major societal issues, which are open to everyone, whether they be researchers, the public, artists, associations or companies.
Two weeks to take a step back to look at the bigger picture and escape from the media frenzy to learn and reflect together about the reality of AI in our society, as well as the discoveries and innovations available and the choices that we should make.
"What does Artificial Intelligence dream about?"
What are the real threats and opportunities arising from the development of Artificial Intelligence?
What AI ethics should be drawn up?
What are our laboratories and researchers working on?
Could AI re-invent both our life models and daily lives? Etc.
