JACES events on Tréfilerie Saint-Étienne campus

For the Arts and Culture in Higher Education Days, usually referred to in French as "JACES" (Journées des arts et de la culture dans l'enseignement supérieur), over 30 events will be organized over three days at the Lyon Saint-Étienne university campuses.

To celebrate the Tréfilerie music festival based on the theme "Portraits of Women", musicology students from Université Jean Monnet would like to invite you to three creative projects, in partnership with professional musicians and composers, with three concert evenings you do not want to miss out on.

Tuesday, April 2018 - Evening 1 "Hell & Paradise"

    The Grand Choeur de Musicologie from Université Jean Monnet sing the work of American composer Meredith Monk, accompanied by Acousmonium sound paintings by electroacoustics students

    First-and second-year musicology students will be honoring French songs by great performers from the interwar period, such as Mistinguett, Joséphine Baker, Fréhel, Édith Piaf, Mireille and Damia, etc.

    The La Forge collective has created pieces that pay tribute to great women (Isabelle Huppert, Joséphine Baker, etc.) and are performed by the Grand Choeur de Musicologie, with harmonies by Conservatoire Massenet and three improvisational soloists
